BEAUTY INTERESTS
I am a rare, a natural beauty secret known to Moroccan women for centuries for my moisturizing, antioxidant superpowers... What am I? Argan oil, of course!
This age-old treasure is now set to conquer our cosmetics bags and even our food. This precious oil is pressed from the fruit of the argan plant, a bush that grows in arid climates (and appeals to goats which perch on its branches). The oil possesses a multitude of qualities and can be used in a variety of ways. It is the ideal conditioning mask for dry hair and irritated scalps; blended with lemon juice, it is the perfect nail strengthener; and it outshines other products in moisturizing the skin and preventing the signs of aging.
Argan Oil Hair Repair Mask:
- Combine two egg yolks (for shoulder-length hair) with one tablespoon of pure argan oil.
- Apply to the full length of the hair, gently working it in.
- Leave on for five to ten minutes, and then rinse and wash the hair with a mild shampoo.
Carrot and Raisin Salad with Argan Oil:

- Add a handful of raisins and a few coriander seeds.
- Top with a dash of argan oil and balsamic vinegar.
- Season with salt and pepper and garnish with a few sprigs of parsley.
